Last month, ZTE officially introduced the nubia Z9, the company’s newest high-end smartphone boasting super-thin bezels.
Now, the company is happy to announce that the smartphone will be available in the United States beginning in the third quarter of this year. ZTE is going big with three different models as well: Classic, Elite, and Exclusive. The Classic variant will boast 3GB of RAM/32GB of built-in storage and cost $564; while the Elite model will run 4GB of RAM/64GB of built-in storage and cost $645.
The Exclusive variant will feature the high-end Elite specs, but also boast a fingerprint sensor for good measure.
Otherwise, all three models feature a 5.2-inch 1080p HD display, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor under the hood. On the back, the nubia Z9 features a 16-megapixel camera with Sony’s IMX234 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). There’s an 8MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE-connectivity, and the battery is measured in at 2900mAh. It’s running Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Unfortunately, exactly when in the third quarter the nubia Z9 will launch is unknown at this point, but the wait for that last bit of information shouldn’t be long. What do you think of the nubia Z9?
