YouTube TV rolls out a suite of updates for National Football League (NFL) Sunday Ticket subscribers designed to enhance the viewing experience, an immersive way for NFL fans and fantasy football enthusiasts to enjoy this football season as it goes down to the wire.

“This year, you’ll see an even more personalized gameday experience for each and every fan,” YouTube wrote in a blog post. “From fantasy to multiview, our sports fans are the reason we keep striving to make YouTube better, and we’re excited to share the latest of many features coming your way this fall.”

The NFL season will kick off on September 5, 2024, as YouTube TV hits touchdown with improvements for the multi-view feature. Subscribers can create custom combinations of two, three, or four games to watch simultaneously. Whether on a TV, mobile device, or tablet, fans can keep up with multiple games in real-time, no matter where they are.

YouTube TV Base Plan members can also enjoy multi-view streams of NFL games airing on locally selected stations even without an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.

Months after YouTube started testing out their new controversial user interface, YouTube TV is set to fully utilize it, but in a different way. In the two-column layout of the video player, fans can watch games on one side of the screen; however, in contrast to the experimental layout, the other side is dedicated to live stats, scores from other games, and key plays.

The update includes the integration of fantasy football tracking, which fantasy football managers will love. The Fantasy View feature has been around for four years now. It allows users to monitor their roster’s analytics in real-time. In addition, players can now link their Yahoo Fantasy or NFL Fantasy accounts to YouTube TV.

Setting up Fantasy View is simple: just head to the ‘Sports’ tab in the account settings on your mobile device.

Hints about the upcoming update for fantasy league viewers were also promised on YouTube TV. Users are to expect an integrated watch experience with access to key plays and multi-view combinations tailored to their fantasy teams.

Other notable features include a spoiler mode to hide final scores, more playback controls with Broadcast Delay to reduce live spoilers, and a Jump to Last Channel shortcut for quick channel switching.

As the NFL season progresses, YouTube TV plans to roll out additional updates and improvements. Fantasy football players can expect even more features tailored to their needs, including enhanced access to Fantasy View on tablets and web browsers.
