Just as promised, rovo89 — the developer of Xposed framework — has released the first alpha build of the framework that works on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
rovo89 has only tested the framework on his Nexus 9, but early reports from XDA forum members indicate that the framework is working fine on the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X. The developer notes that due to changes in Marshmallow, certain modules and aspects of the framework might not work properly.
Since this is the first release of Xposed framework for Marshmallow, you are bound to run into some bugs and issues. If you come across any issue, make sure to report them on this thread so that it can be fixed in the future version of the framework.
All Xposed modules will also need to be updated to work on Marshmallow. The installation ZIP file of Xposed v77, which supports Marshmallow, can be downloaded from here.
