Xiaomi has another smartphone coming down the pipe, and this is one of the most eye-catching devices to date.
Wang Xiang is Xiaomi’s Senior Vice President and the executive took to Twitter on Thursday to post a series of Mi 9 images. There are three in total, and while they show off the rear camera design as much as anything else, it’s the color of the Mi 9 that really stands out. According to Xiang, the company used “nano-level laser engraving holographic technology + dual layer nano coating” to create the new hue. It looks great in the images, so one can only hope it looks even better in person.
Meanwhile, in a separate report from XDA, we get to see the black version of the upcoming Mi 9. You can see the leaked images below.
As for specs and further details, those remain unknown at this time. We do know that the Mi 9 will have three cameras on the back at the very least. The leaked images of the black model do show a U-shaped notch at the top of the display, too. That’s definitely a better notch design than what was present in the Mi 8 last year.
Xiaomi plans on unveiling the Mi 9 on Sunday, February 24. Based on these press renders and the leaked images, what do you think of the Mi 9?
