Xiaomi today announced its latest Redmi flagship handset with a deca-core chipset, the Redmi Pro.
Powered by MediaTek’s Helio X25 chipset comprising of 10-cores, the handset sports a 5.5-inch OLED display with full HD resolution that is protected by a curved 2.5D glass. The handset sports a brushed aluminium design with a fingerprint sensor located at the front. Other specs of the Redmi Pro include 4GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, USB Type-C port, 4050mAh battery, and a hybrid SIM card slot.
The Redmi Pro is the first handset from Xiaomi to feature a dual lens camera setup at the rear. The primary shooter has a 13MP resolution that uses Sony’s IMX258 sensor, while the secondary depth sensor has a 5MP resolution. The dual camera setup allows the Redmi Pro to adjust the depth of field of a picture after taking a picture.
Xiaomi will be offering the Redmi Pro in three different variants. The base variant will come with a Helio X20 chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It has been priced at RMB 1499. The other two variants feature a Helio X25 chipset and come with 3GB RAM/64GB storage space and 4GB RAM/128GB of internal storage, respectively. They have been priced at RMB1699 and RMB 1999. The Redmi Pro will be available in Gold, Silver, and Dark Grey.
