Xiaomi today teased that it will be launching the Mi Max in India on June 30th. This will be the third handset that Xiaomi will be launching in India this year. The company had previously launched the Redmi Note and the Mi 5 in the country within a span of one month.
The Mi Max was launched by Xiaomi in China in May, with its first flash sale receiving over 8 million registrations. The handset features a gigantic 6.44-inch Full HD display in a 7.5mm slim body. The 203gm heavy handset features a mammoth 4850mAh battery to complement that big display. Inside the Mi Max is a Snapdragon 650/652 chipset and up to 4GB RAM. The handset is sold in China in up to 128GB storage variants along with a microSD card slot.

The device also features a 16MP F/2.0 shooter at its rear with PDAF and a 5MP shooter at the front. Other specs include a fingerprint scanner at its rear, a metal unibody design, hybrid dual-SIM slot, and LTE connectivity.
With companies like LeEco launching the LeEco 2 and OnePlus launching the OnePlus 3 in the country, it is likely that Xiaomi is launching the Mi Max in India to bring back the spotlight on its devices. With a large 6.44-inch display though, the Mi Max is likely going to cater to a very specific kind of customers in the country.
What do you think about the Mi Max? Does it 6.44-inch display fancy your attention?
