Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 5 smartphone hopes to compete with 2015’s biggest flagships by delivering some of the best specifications currently available. In addition to a Quad HD display, the device is expected to pack a speedy Snapdragon processor and plenty of RAM.

The specifications come from leaked images of the device that surfaced on Chinese microblogging network Weibo. Screenshots show the device will include a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, and a whopping 4GB of RAM.

The Mi 5 is also expected to have a 16-megapixel camera on its back with optical image stabilization, and a 3,000mAh battery.

While the Mi 5 won’t have the latest Snapdragon 810 processor, it will still be pretty speedy. Early benchmarks tests suggest it will be faster than the OnePlus One, the HTC One M8, the Galaxy S5, and last year’s Xiaomi Mi 4.

Of course, these specifications could change before the Mi 5 gets its official debut; this could well be a prototype devices with temporary internals just for testing. But they at least give us some idea of what Xiaomi is working on, and its plans for its next-generation flagship.
