Between now and the end of this year, Motorola Mobility will hold a press conference to announce the “X Phone”. According to the leaks that have been floating around the internets, it’ll have a 1.7 GHz dual core processor from Qualcomm, 2 GB of RAM, 10 megapixel camera, and a 720p screen. No, it’s not a flagship phone when you compare it to the Galaxy S4 or HTC One, but it’s still no slouch.

Now, thanks to Phone Arena, we have a leaked photo of the device. It looks like just about any other plastic slab that’s come before it, so I’m not going to lie to you and say I’m interested in the looks. What I am interested in however is how the company will differentiate this phone with all the other phones due to be out on the market during the holiday shopping season.
Will it have a crazy large battery? Will it be waterproof? Will it cost just $299 without a contract? Will it use some crazy camera sensor with zero shutter lag and perfectly crisp photos? Will it come with software that does things other Android phones can’t? Will that software be available, via the Play Store, to other Android phones?
Plenty of questions, but they’ll all be answered in time. Just be patient.
