WhatsApp has been recently aggressively rolling out new features to its messaging service. This includes support for document sharing, end-to-end encryption, desktop clients for Windows and Mac, and more. Now, the team behind WhatsApp seems set to release the next big feature for their messaging service: video calling.

WhatsApp has been rumored to add video calling support to their service since quite a few months now, but no visible development was made by the company on this front…until today that is. The latest beta of WhatsApp for Android now includes an option to make a video call, though the feature does not work right now since it is yet to be enabled server side from WhatsApp.

Sadly, WhatsApp quickly released another beta of WhatsApp for Android that removed all traces of video calling from the app. Nonetheless, if the screenshots above are anything to go by, it is likely that WhatsApp is in the final stages of rolling out video calling to its users, at least in beta form to Android users.

Are you excited about WhatsApp adding video calling feature? Or will you stick to your current video calling choice of app?
