Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in Barcelona, Spain on February 25 — a day before MWC 2018 starts. The Korean company will be unveiling its flagship smartphone in Barcelona after a gap of one year. While the Galaxy S7 was unveiled at MWC 2016, Samsung did not unveil the Galaxy S8 at 2017’s MWC.
Instead, the company held a special Unpacked event in March for the device. This time around though, Samsung is back to attract eyeballs from the media on one of the world’s biggest stage for smartphones. With hundreds of thousands of journalists being present in Barcelona for MWC, Samsung could not have found a better time and venue to unveil the Galaxy S9.
However, not everyone is a part of the media and Samsung only invites a limited set of people to its media event. Thankfully, Samsung will also be live streaming the Galaxy S9 event so you can watch it live right from your home in your pajamas.
When Does the Unpacked 2018 Event Start?
The event is scheduled to start at 6 pm local time Barcelona (CET). This means the event starts at 22:30 local time in India, 12 noon in New York, and 1 am in Hong Kong. You can find the event start time in your local time zone from here.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Specs
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are not going to sport major design changes compared to their predecessors. Instead, the handsets will sport major internal upgrades, with Samsung particularly focusing on the camera of the device this time around. Leaks point to the Galaxy S9 coming with a 12MP shooter at its rear with a variable f/1.5-f/2.4 aperture. The bigger Galaxy S9+ will be the only device to sport a dual-camera setup thereby offering 2x optical zoom and Live Focus.
