Vivo recently launched the Vivo 15 Pro in India. The highlight of the smartphone is its 32MP pop-up selfie camera as it is the world’s first smartphone to ship with such a high-resolution selfie camera. Despite the focus on the 32MP selfie camera, Vivo has made it a bit of a challenge to shoot 32MP selfies on the Vivo V15 Pro.
There’s no option to shoot 32MP selfies on the Vivo V15 Pro and by default, the phone does not shoot selfies in full resolution as well. That does not mean the Vivo V15 Pro is not capable of shooting 32MP selfies though. You can by just following the steps below.
How to Shoot 32MP Selfies on Vivo V15 Pro’s Front Camera
Step 1: Open the Camera app on your Vivo V15 Pro and switch to the front camera.
Step 2: Tap the Settings button on the top-right corner. From here, select the 4:3 aspect ratio option.
Now, all selfies that you take on your Vivo V15 Pro will be captured in 32MP resolution. Do note that switching to 19.5:9 aspect ratio will lead to a full-screen preview in the camera app but the photo resolution will be reduced to around 19MP.
Taking selfies in 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a lower resolution is not really going to lead any decline in quality. The details captured might take a hit but for selfies, an 18/19MP resolution image is going to be more than enough. A 32MP selfie is only going to be useful when you are taking photos in ideal lighting conditions. Otherwise, the fine details are usually wiped away by Vivo’s heavy post-processing which is particularly visible when the amount of light available is on the lower side.
