Staying true to its words, HTC today announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the unlocked One M9 will be available for download in the United States over the next 24 hours.
The announcement was made by Mo Versi, VP of Product Development at HTC, on Twitter. In addition, Versi announced that the Android 6.0.1 update for the One A9 will also be available for download within the same timeframe.
Happy Holidays! Updates to the Unlocked A9 6.0.1 and Unlocked M9 6.0 will be able to be downloaded within next 24 hours! Enjoy 🙂

The One A9 was the first device to launch with Marshmallow out of the box this year, and it is great to see HTC updating it to a minor point release of the OS within a couple of weeks of the update being rolled out by Google.
HTC has already updated the unlocked variant of the One M8 to Marshmallow in the U.S. earlier this month. Versi had then said that the One M9 will be getting its Marshmallow update by the end of this year. The carrier variants of both One M8 and M9 are scheduled to receive the Marshmallow update after getting the required certifications from carriers in Q1, 2016.
HTC might not have had a remarkable 2015, but the company has done an outstanding job in quickly updating its devices to the latest version of Android.
