Android Trusted Voice unlock

Android has a few different means to unlock a device, including a password, PIN, or drawing a pattern. Add that to the list that includes Trusted Devices, On-Body Detection and others, one more method can’t hurt.

It’s been revealed that some Android users have noticed a brand new method to unlock their smartphone within the Smart Lock settings. These users have found what’s called “Trusted Voice,” and it does what the name suggests: Unlocking a smartphone with just a user’s voice. The owner will have to use the phrase, “Ok, Google,” to unlock it.

The Trusted Voice method matches to the user’s voice model, but Google emphasizes that other unlocking methods, like the PIN, password or pattern are more secure than this new option.

The rollout is just beginning, it seems, so it may take some time to get to all the appropriate Android devices out there.
