After indefinitely delaying the launch of the LTE variant of the Nexus 9 at the beginning of this month, T-Mobile today announced that it will start selling the HTC made Nexus tablet from today. The carrier also notes that it is the first operator in the United States to offer the Nexus 9 with LTE connectivity.
You will be able to purchase the Nexus 9 for either $599 outright, or for a down payment of $0 followed by 24 monthly instalments of $25. The carrier will also be bundling 200MB for free monthly data under its ‘Free Data for Life’ program.
The Nexus 9 is the first Android tablet to feature Nvidia’s custom made 64-bit Denver chip. The dual-core processor is paired with a 192-core Kepler GPU to deliver the best performance possible. Other specs of the tablet include 2GB RAM, 16/32GB storage space, an 8.9-inch 4:3 aspect ratio with QXGA (2048 x 1536) resolution. It also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The LTE variant of the Nexus 9 is only available with 32GB of storage space. The Wi-Fi only 16 and 32GB variants are available for purchase through a wide array of retailers, including Best Buy and Google Play for $399 and $479, respectively.
The LTE variant of the Nexus 9 is also slated to go on sale in the Google Play store sometime soon.
