Google Assistant on the new Pixels is pretty conversational and somewhat smart. Google has so far shown us that we can use the Assistant to quickly look up hotel and flight books, look up on points of interest around us, setting reminders and more. Now, as discovered by a user on Google Plus, you can quickly tell Assistant to share an article you are currently reading to social media.

When reading an article on Chrome or any other browser of your choice, you can say “Ok Google, Share this on Twitter” or “Share this on Google Plus” to quickly get a tweet or Google Plus post containing the headline of the article and a link to it. You can then proceed to share that news article on Twitter or Google Plus. Similarly, you can also use the “Send this link to <insert contact name>” voice command to send the link of the article via a message to a friend or family member.

For now, this feature of Assistant only works with Twitter, Google+, and SMS, with no integration being found with Facebook, Gmail, WhatsApp, or other messaging clients. However, now that it has been discovered, it is likely that we will see Google add support for other social media accounts pretty soon as well.
