Motorola today officially announced its Android 7.0 Nougat update plans. The Lenovo-owned company will start rolling out Nougat update in Q4 with the Moto Z and Moto G (4th gen.).
Android 7.0 Nougat comes with a number of new features including a redesigned notification panel and Settings menu, multi-window multitasking, built-in data saver mode, and more. As for the devices that will be getting the Nougat update from Motorola, below is the full list:
- Moto G (4th Gen)
- Moto G Plus (4th Gen)
- Moto G Play (4th Gen)
- Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen)
- Moto X Style
- Moto X Play
- Moto X Force
- Droid Turbo 2
- Droid Maxx 2
- Moto Z
- Moto Z Droid
- Moto Z Force Droid
- Moto Z Play
- Moto Z Play Droid
- Nexus 6
While the above list contains almost all the major devices that Google has launched in 2016, it does seem to miss quite a few other popular devices from the company. This includes the recently unveiled Moto E3 Power and Motorola’s popular budget handset from 2015: the Moto G 3rd generation.
The Moto Z and Moto G4 will be among the first devices to get the Nougat update, with other Moto devices getting the update in the coming months.
