Moto G 2015

Earlier in June, the first images of what was believed to be the Moto G (2015) were surfaced online. And now, thanks to a new render of the handset, the design for the upcoming mid-range handset seems to be confirmed.

The renders were recently published by TechnoBuffalo, and indeed show a handset that seems to take plenty of design cues from the current Moto g, while also updating the back of the handset at the same time. More than that, these renders line up with the images released via Google+ earlier in the month, so it would appear that this is indeed the upcoming Moto G.

A metal band has apparently been installed on the back of the handset this time, wrapped around the camera lens, the dual-tone flash, and even the Motorola dimple near the center of the back cover. As far as features go, it’s been rumored that the new Moto G will feature a slightly improved 13-megapixel camera on the back, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage, with a microSD card slot to add to that when necessary. It should launch with an LTE radio on board as well.

Just when Motorola will get around to officially announcing the Moto G (2015) remains to be seen, but considering the handset is starting to show up more often, it could be very soon.
