Earlier this month, Meizu introduced the Zero, a handset that earned the title of the “world’s first holeless phone“.

To get there, the handset makes some important design changes. That includes the fact the handset has no ports, buttons, or holes in its design. Perhaps unsurprisingly that means the phone isn’t cheap. Meizu actually listed the handset on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo recently, and the company is asking $1,299. That’s not cheap!

Here is what we know about the Meizu Zero: The handset features Meizu’s “mSound 2.0” technology, which means the 5.99-inch AMOLED display can also serve as a speaker. The buttons on the side are virtual and will apply a haptic feedback sensation when pressed to turn the phone on or off, as well as control the volume. The wireless charging can support speeds up to 18W with Meizu’s own “Super mCharge Wireless” technology. And because there is no space for a physical SIM card, Meizu is relying on eSIM technology.

The device also boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood. Otherwise, we don’t nkow much about the Zero — even though you can order the thing right now. There is an in-display fingerprint reader, too. Meizu had a prototype unit up for $2,999 recently but that model already sold out.

So, if you are feeling really daring and want to try to get Meizu to produce this phone on a broad scale, you can order one now for the full price. Of course, this is still a crowdfunding site and it’s possible Meizu can’t reach its goal of $100,000. If that doesn’t happen and Meizu can’t ship the Zero, you’ll still be out of the money.
