HTC just announced the One M9, but that doesn’t stop the Rumor Mill. As revealed by a new report, HTC’s upcoming E9 may be the bigger handset some people might have wanted.
The new images were published by Engadget, and show a device that has shirked the curved body of the One M9, and increased the overall size of the display as well. According to the report, the E9 will feature a 5.5-inch screen, and instead of a 1080p HD panel, this one could be a Quad HD screen. The flat body will apparently house a 13-megapixel camera on the front in one version, while another could boast the 4MP UltraPixel camera on the front, just like the One M9.
Inside, the report suggests that there could be a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek processor under the hood, which would be a change from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor inside the M9.
Basically, the E9 looks like it’s quite the departure from the flagship that was just announced, but for the person in the right market where this phone might show up, a bigger display and altered specs could seal the deal. There’s no telling when HTC might announce the E9, or where it will launch, but stay tuned.
