Apparently Tag Heuer enjoys the design of its Connected smartwatch, which is running Android Wear, because the company is keeping it around a bit longer.
It’s been almost one year since Tag Heuer officially launched the Connected Watch, which runs Android Wear, and offers a design that admittedly looks more like a traditional watch than a small computer strapped to one’s wrist. That watch apparently sold well enough that the Swiss watchmaker had to ramp up production to meet demand.
Which apparently translated to Tag Heuer moving forward with a new, vastly more expensive variant of the same smartwatch a year later. Which is where we are now with the Rose Gold Connected. It’s a solid rose gold smartwatch that, aside from the new rose gold option, is exactly the same smarwatch as last year, features wise. That includes an Intel powered chipset, and an “all day” battery life. The premium smartwatch can be recharged using a bundled dock easily. Other features of the Connected include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, along with a microphone for issuing voice commands.
It costs $9,900 and it will only be available in select retail stores.
What’s the limit you’re willing to spend on a smartwatch?
