Word on the street was that the T-Mobile-branded Revvl smartphone would launch on Thursday, August 10, and that is indeed the case.
Today, T-Mobile officially announced the Revvl smartphone via its newsroom, confirming that the mid-range handset would arrive on the network on August 10. It will be priced at $0 down and $5 per month after that on a JUMP! On Demand! plan. For that price, you get a moderate mid-range device, which primarily brings to the table a 5.5-inch HD display.
Other specs include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot that can support up to 128GB. There is a 13-megapixel camera on the back, and, around front, a 5MP front-facing shooter. There is a fingerprint reader on the back, below the camera setup, and a 3000mAh battery under the hood. Finally, the Revvl is running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Interestingly enough, there’s no mention from T-Mobile which processor is running the show. The phone goes on sale both through participating T-Mobile retail stores, and will also be available online directly.
The Revvl isn’t going to be the next standout handset with a laundry list of high-end features, but for the price that T-Mobile is offering the handset, it should certainly be a solid enough choice for anyone that doesn’t want to break the bank when picking up their new smartphone.
Do you think you would pick up the Revvl if you were in the market for a new phone, or know anyone who will?
