Last week, Motorola officially began rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its latest flagships, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force.
And now it looks like it’s time for LG to get its own update fun on. As it stands right now, several owners of the LG G5 are reporting that they are now receiving an update to Android 7.0 Nougat. That’s under T-Mobile’s banner, for now, and the Un-carrier hasn’t officially announced the upgrade just yet. The owners of the flagship device have said the update started rolling out a couple of days ago.
Those who have grabbed the new software, have shown that it measures in at a whopping 1272.9MB. So, as should be par for the course at this point, find a speedy Wi-Fi connection and stay on there until the update is fully installed.
The standard Android 7.0 features should be baked in, including quick reply notifications, and split-screen support for apps, among other things. The included software also features the November 1 security patch from Google.
If you have a G5 for T-Mobile, have you received the update yet?
