Leading up to the latter part of the year, the smartphone market has a tendency to blow up. This year is no different. There are a ton of new handsets coming down the pipe, and T-Mobile has already laid claim to many of them. With so many different high-profile smartphones coming down the pipe, it might be hard to pick one. But if you do, then T-Mobile promises to give you the best trade-in value for your old device to make getting that new phone even easier.

The plan will start on September 17, and it will run for a limited time, but T-Mobile doesn’t outline when that will be:

“We’re going to see some of the most phenomenal devices ever in the coming months, and that means a whole lot of Americans trading-in their devices and upgrading,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “For years, the big carriers have been ripping off their customers with low-ball trade-in values, so we’re putting an end to that and guaranteeing we’ll give customers what they deserve − the best value in the industry.“

It’s a pretty simple endeavor, and T-Mobile says that they will be watching the market to keep an eye on pricing. However, if you do find a trade-in value higher than what the Magenta Network is offering, they’ll beat it outright, and then add an additional $50 on top of that for good measure.

“This offer starts September 17 and is for a limited time. All a customer has to do is call T-Mobile or go online within seven days of completing a trade-in at T-Mobile and tell us where, when and for how much they saw a better deal for their device. It’s that easy.“
