The Galaxy Note 8 was officially announced last week amidst much hype and speculation. The handset managed to live up to the buzz, being the company’s first official dual-camera smartphone. Today, T-Mobile customers are in for some good news with a handful of users reportedly getting messages that their order is “being packed” and will be shipped “soon”.
This seemingly applies only to the early pre-orders of the Galaxy Note 8. However, if you pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 from the carrier right now, you’re likely to get it by September 13, which is still a couple of days before the scheduled September 15 arrival of the flagship. It seems like T-Mobile will be the first carrier in the U.S. to offer pre-order units to the customers.
Samsung is offering freebies with the Galaxy Note 8 via all participating retailers and carriers. Customers can get the Gear 360 camera (worth $229.99) for free or a 128GB MicroSD EVO+ memory card and Fast Wireless Charging Convertible (worth $189.98 combined) as part of the pre-order promo. T-Mobile customers have until September 24 to avail this offer.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be the game changer in the industry, especially with the arrival of the iPhone 8 on the horizon. Its dual-camera sensor on the back comes with a slightly advanced version of Apple’s “Portrait Mode” feature from the iPhone 7 Plus. The phone also comes with a mammoth 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display, coupled with the octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB of RAM, Android 7.1 Nougat, and a 3,300 mAh battery. The company has also made some tweaks to the S Pen stylus, which is said to be smoother than previous iterations.
