SwiftKey Android update

SwiftKey today released an update to the Android version of its keyboard with some major enhancements and features. The biggest change included in the update is a new default theme and SwiftKey Hub.

The latter replaces the old hub that was accessed by long pressing the ‘123’ key. The updated Hub is accessible by pressing the hamburger menu located on the left edge of the prediction bar. It provides users with quick access to the keyboard’s layout and size, input methods, and more.

Additionally, the update introduces a new ‘default Carbon’ theme that looks miles better than the previous default theme, or for that matter, any other theme available in the SwiftKey themes store. SwiftKey says that this new theme is a combination of its “Minimal and Material themes” and “was inspired from the element Carbon.”

For Indian SwiftKey users, the update also adds a new adaptive layout for Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi and Nepali languages, along with support for nine new local languages. Finally, with this update, SwiftKey is adding Dashlane integration into their keyboard that will allow it to safely predict passwords when needed.
