Just a few days after Super Mario Run made its debut on iOS, the game’s listing has gone live on the Google Play Store. The game is not yet available for download though, with the listing only offering a registration option so that users will be automatically notified when the game is released.
The game’s listing does not reveal when Nintendo plans on releasing Super Mario Run for Android. The last two major apps that made use of the Registration option on the Google Play Store were Google’s own Allo and Duo app. Both the apps were released months after their listing first went live.
A new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand.
In this game, Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it’s up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.
Super Mario Run’s listing also confirms that the game will require access to an active internet connection to be playable. This is similar to what Nintendo has done with the iOS version of the game so as to keep piracy in check.
