After missing the initial roll out date of August 16, Xiaomi has now finally started rolling out the global stable build of MIUI 8 for its devices. The latest version of MIUI has been under alpha and beta testing from the company for close to 2 months now.

MIUI 8 brings with it a refreshed new colorful UI and redesigned system apps. The notification panel has also been completely redesigned to make it look more appealing and user-friendly to use. Other major new features of MIUI 8 include the ability to clone apps so that you can run 2 instances of it at the same time, Second Space, new backup and transfer tools, and more. You can read more about the new features in MIUI 8 here.

Starting from today, Xiaomi will start rolling out the MIUI 8 stable build for the following devices:

  • Redmi 1S
  • Mi 2/2S
  • Mi 4i
  • Redmi Note 3G
  • Redmi Note 4G

Other popular Xiaomi devices like the Mi 5, Redmi Note 3, and Redmi 3 will receive the update “in the near future.”
