Google has just announced on its blog that Sony’s first Android Wear running smartwatch — the SmartWatch 3 — is now available for pre-order on Verizon’s network.

The SmartWatch 3 will set you back by $249.99 without any contract (thankfully!), and will ship by the end of this month.

The SmartWatch 3 is the first Android Wear device to feature a built-in GPS sensor. Another notable feature is its 1.6-inch transflective display, which should make it easier to read in sunlight and preserve power as well.

Unlike all other smartwatches out there, the SmartWatch 3 uses a traditional microUSB charger for its power needs, and comes with an IP68 rating making it dust and water-proof.

The watch is already listed as “coming soon” on Google Play and should be available for order there within the next few days.
