At the end of February, 2014, Sony officially announced the Xperia Z2, a high-end device with plenty of features to make it worthwhile to potential consumers. For anyone who might be wondering what’s next, though, the first glimpse of what could be the Xperia Z3’s front panel have leaked online.
A new report from the Xperia Blog suggests that our first glimpse of the Xperia Z3 is right above, with the front panel finding its way online long before any official announcements have been made. More than that, though, the same image apparently indicates the front panel of another Sony-branded upcoming device, the Xperia Z3 Compact.
The pictures were originally posted to the Chinese forum, Digi-wo, and as you can see from the image, the devices in question do look very Sony-ish. That includes thin bezels on the side, as well as some extra room on the top and bottom, especially for the necessary Sony branding.
There’s not much else to go on here, and the details that might come along with a leak like this are nowhere to be seen. We don’t know when Sony might decide to officially announce these handsets, if that is indeed the plan, but it could very well be only a few months away.
Is a Sony Xperia Z3 or Xperia Z3 Compact a device you might be interested in?
