If you have been waiting for Sony’s latest flagship — the Xperia Z3 — to arrive on T-Mobile’s network in the United States, here is some good (or bad) news for you.

According to Des, Senior Product guy at T-Mobile, the Z3 is still a few weeks away from its official launch on the Magenta colored carrier.

While “weeks” does not really sound confidence inspiring, it is still much better than waiting for months for Sony and T-Mobile to release the handset in the United States like it did with the Xperia Z1s.

If you don’t mind paying outright and slightly more for the Xperia Z3 or the Z3 Compact though, I’d recommend you to order the handset from Clove or Handtec in the United Kingdom. This way you will be able to get your hands on the handset at least weeks before its official launch and will be able to unlock its bootloader as well, which is a major plus.
