Over the course of the last few weeks, we’ve seen quite a bit about Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z3 Compact, including a detailed, albeit unofficial, specifications breakdown. We’ve reportedly even seen the front panel compared to that of the “regular” Xperia Z3. Not so much on the Xperia Z3 by itself, though. That changes today, thanks to photos seen on a Chinese certification website.
The photos were published by Android Central, and found via the certification site, TENAA, out of China. The website has both the white and black version of the upcoming handset, which will probably see an official announcement at this year’s IFA conference just around the corner. TENAA, for the record, is China’s organization that compares to the FCC.
The listing also offers up a quick look at the specifications we should expect from the upcoming handset:
These specifications should sound familiar, because it’s what the Xperia Z2 is mostly composed of. The only upgrade here, apparently, is the processor. Will that be enough for Sony to sell this handset only a few months after the launch of the Xperia Z2? We’ll have to wait and see.
