Sony is working on a new XZ-branded smartphone, based on the latest leak to surface.
A quick rendered video, and images, of what is being called the Xperia XZ4 have leaked out, based on factory CAD information that MySmartPrice was able to obtain. With that information, the publication was able to put together renderings of what the future smartphone will probably look like, outfitted with a 6.5-inch display and minimized bezels. There won’t be a notch on this handset, according to the data, but just enough of a bezel on the top to facilitate the front-facing camera and additional sensors.
But, at the time being, that is all we have to go on. There isn’t any additional information regarding the specifications and features of the upcoming Xperia XZ4 at this time. Word is that the smartphone manufacturer will be showing off the XZ4 during Mobile World Congress, which kicks off at the end of February next year. But, considering we’re seeing the XZ4 now, months in advance, we’ll likely be hearing more about it out of the rumor mill in the weeks ahead.
As far as what we can see in the images, though, there’s plenty to learn. We can see the trio of cameras on the back, which will be lined up in a vertical fashion. Meanwhile, there is a fingerprint reader on the side, and Sony is even including a physical camera shutter button, too. On the bottom we have the USB-C port for charging. However, there does not appear to be a 3.5mm headphone jack, so that may be a deal breaker even in 2018.
So, what do you think of this early look at the Sony Xperia XZ4?
