Along with the Xperia M5, Sony also announced a 6-inch phablet with an edge-to-edge screen: the Xperia C5 Ultra.
The handset does not boast of as powerful specs as the Xperia M5, but makes up for it by sporting a gigantic 6-inch edge-to-edge Full HD display. Under the hood, the Xperia C5 Ultra comes with an octa-core processor from MediaTek clocked at 1.7GHz, an ARM Mali GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage space, and a microSD card slot.
The handset also comes with a 2930mAh battery, which Sony says will last for up to 2 hours or for up to 8 hours of video playback.
As for the cameras, the phone comes with a 13MP shooter at the back and rear. Both cameras feature Sony’s Exmor RS sensor, with the front selfie camera coming with a 22mm wide-angle lens. There is also a soft LED flash present on the front and back of the handset. Like the Xperia M5, there is also a dedicated shutter button present on the device.
The Xperia C5 Ultra will be available in single or dual SIM configuration depending on the market, and will start making its way to emerging markets from mid August.
