Sony is gearing up to release a new smartphone tomorrow focused towards the “selfies” crowd. Details about the handset are scarce and surprisingly nothing major about it has leaked as well.
Rumors have indicated that this handset will sport a front-facing LED flash, but without any pictures of the device making their way to the Internet, it is tough to confirm whether this piece of news is true or not. Most OEMs generally use the screen in the front of the device as an LED flash, so it would be interesting to see if Sony bucks this trend and actually uses an LED flash in the front.

With selfie being a worldwide trend currently, Sony really could not have come up with a better time to launch a handset focused towards it.
Since Sony’s next flagship — the Xperia Z3 — is not slated to arrive anytime before IFA, expect this new handset to sport modest specs and price tag.
