Sony has uploaded a 43-second long teaser video on its YouTube channel today, which is extremely weird.

The teaser video is filled with a lot of references to number 5, Lollipop, colors, various human emotions, chameleons(!), and ends with the “Welcome to the New World” tagline.

It is unclear if Sony is teasing the Lollipop update for its Xperia devices, or simply hinting at a major refresh of its smartphone portfolio for next year. It is also possible that the company is hinting at one of its upcoming products that it might unveil at CES early next year.

Sony has already confirmed that it will be bring the latest version of Lollipop to its Xperia Z lineup of devices from early next year. Perhaps the company plans on announcing the rollout of the update at CES next month and is teasing us about it with this video?
