Courtesy of a few leaked images, we already have seen how Android 5.0 and Sense 6.0 will look together. Now, LlabTooFeR is back with more screenshots of Android 5.0 with Sense 6.0 running on the HTC One M8.
Aside from a few minor UI tweaks that includes the new Recents app UI, a refreshed look for the quick toggles in the notification bar and Material Design inspired System icons — Sense 6.0 looks largely similar to how it looked on Android 4.4 KitKat. This test firmware also contains an “Easy mode” that dumbs down the various options on the device to make it easier for new users.
While HTC has retained all the new features introduced by Google in Lollipop, it is disappointing to see the company not updating the aesthetics of its Sense skin to be inline with the new Material Design guidelines from Google. It is possible that the company is saving the big Sense revamp for the successor of the HTC One that is expected to be unveiled in Q1 or in early Q2 of next year.
HTC has already updated the Google Play edition One M7 and M8 to Lollipop earlier this month. The company has also promised to update the Sense variant of the handsets to Lollipop within 90 days from the source code being released by Google i.e. sometime by end January.
