Samsung announced four new tablets at the consumer electronics show in Las Vegas last week. The 8.4 inch, 10.1 inch, and 12.2 inch Galaxy TabPros and the 12.2 inch Galaxy NotePro. In case you’re not familiar with Samsung’s naming conventions, anything with the word “Note” in it means it supports a stylus. Now Samsung being Samsung, they unveiled these tablets and forgot to mention when they’ll be coming out and how much they’re going to cost. The giant online German retailer Cyberport, however, has published some numbers.

Starting from most expensive to least expensive, we have the 4G LTE enabled 12.2 inch Note Pro at 1,099 Euros. That’s $1,500 in American money. Get rid of the 4G LTE and that number falls down to 999 Euros or $1,365. Remove the stylus from the Wi-Fi only 12.2 inch NotePro, thereby turning it into a TabPro, and you get 899 Euros or $1,230.

Next up is the 10.1 inch TabPro. The 4G LTE model costs the same as the Wi-Fi only 12.2 inch TabPro, so you’re looking at 899 Euros or $1,230. Chop out the cellular modem, and the Wi-Fi only 10.1 inch TabPro comes down to 799 Euros or $1,095.

And finally, the baby 8.4 inch model. We see the same sort of pricing scheme here again, meaning the LTE enabled 8.4 inch TabPro costs the same as the Wi-Fi only 10.1 inch TabPro, so 799 Euros or $1,095. Take out the 4G LTE and you get 699 Euros or $955.

In conclusion, I can’t recommend any of these. Not a single one. If you want an Android tablet, but yourself a Nexus 7. End of story. Spend the money you saved on your next rent check. That or take your significant other on a three day trip to a spa. Whatever you do, don’t blow $1,500 on a tablet.

Update: Here are the official prices of the devices above, at least here in Finland. The 12.2 inch Note Pro will cost 850 Euros. The 12.2 inch TabPro is 750 Euros. The 10.1 inch TabPro will be 500 Euros. And the 8.4 inch model will cost 400 Euros. All of those prices are “starting” prices, which means the 4G LTE models will obviously cost more.
