Leading up to the official unveiling of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge at this year’s Mobile World Congress, rumors were swirling that Samsung had seen the errors of its ways and would not be bundling a ton of apps on its newest flagships.
While the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge do have fewer apps preinstalled, it’s the apps that Samsung has decided to load onto the device even before an owner opens the box may be worth noting. For example, Samsung is preinstalling its Knox security software on the newest flagships just as it has over the last few iterations and other devices.
On top of that, though, Samsung is also including a free copy of McAfee security software. Worse, Samsung’s decision to include McAfee on it handsets isn’t a free trial, but a full-blown free copy of the security app.
What do you think of Samsung’s decision to include McAfee?
