Samsung has a new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 on the horizon, and the company has just announced the tablet’s features ahead of its debut later this week.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 features a 10.1-inch WUXGA display, with a resolution of 1920×1200, which is 1.7 times denser than the company’s previous Galaxy Tab A 10.1’s display. The new tablet also features an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. It’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and there’s a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 256GB.
The main big new addition to this year’s Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is the inclusion of the S Pen, which will allow owners to create GIFs, draw on photos, and much more. The S Pen is included in the box.
Other features include an 8MP camera on the back with autofocus, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The battery measures in at 7300mAh, which Samsung says can work for 13 hours of video playback, or 14 hours of “internet time.” It will comes in Black or White variants.
Samsung says the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 will arrive in the United States on October 28, and it is priced at $349.99.
