Samsung Galaxy S6 teardown2

A device getting torn down before it finds its way to the masses isn’t all that new, but when it’s something like the Galaxy S6, it’s certainly worth mentioning.

The crew over at MyFixGuide have put together a comprehensive teardown of Samsung’s Galaxy S6, and have revealed all of its internal components along the way. The site notes that Samsung’s alterations to the design, with its glass and metal, are certainly worthwhile and make the device stand out, it adds to the complexity of preparing the device if the need were to arise.

The teardown notes what we already knew: the battery is non-removable, and even that caused some issues for the teardown. They had to heat the back of it for two to three minutes, for instance, which will obviously put it out of reach of “normal repairs” for most consumers. However, it’s certainly interesting to see how well everything is packed together inside.
