At an event in Mumbai, India today, Samsung launched the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy E5 and the Galaxy E7 in India. While the Galaxy A3 and A5 are already available in certain markets of the world, the Galaxy E5 and E7 are completely brand new models.
The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 sport a metallic unibody design that Give them a premium feel when held in hand. The Galaxy A3 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD screen, a Snapdragon 410 processor, 1.5GB RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, LTE and a 1900mAh battery. The Galaxy A7 packs the same Qualcomm chipset as the A3 but comes with 2GB RAM, a 5-inch 720p display, a 13MP rear shooter and a larger 2300mAh battery.
Both handsets will be available for sale in India from the end of this month in a bunch of colors including midnight black, pearl white, platinum silver, light blue, soft pink, and champagne gold. The Galaxy A3 will retail for Rs. 20,500, while the A7 will set interested buyers back by Rs. 25,500.
The Galaxy E5 and E7 are basically the plastic build variants of the A3 and A5 with only a few differences. For starters, the E5 and E7 come with a slightly larger 5-inch and 5.5-inch 720p display, respectively. Other changes include dual-SIM connectivity, though both devices only support 3G networks. They also come with a beefier 2400mAh and 2950mAh batteries. The Galaxy E5 will be available from Rs. 19,300, while the E7 will be available for Rs. 23,000.
