Samsung today sent out invites for a press conference at MWC 2017 on February 26. Since this is not a Galaxy Unpacked event from the company which it usually holds every year at MWC to launch its flagship Galaxy S smartphone, be rest assured that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S8 at this event.
Instead, Samsung will likely be unveiling its new Galaxy Tab S3 at the event. Samsung updates its Galaxy Tab lineup sporadically, though it has not met with much success with them.
A recent report indicated that the Galaxy Tab S3 will feature a 9.6-inch 4:3 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. The tablet will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 32/64GB of storage along with a microSD card slot. There will also be a 12MP shooter at the rear, with a 5MP selfie shooter at the front. The tablet will be available in both LTE and Wi-Fi models.
The tablet will reportedly be priced at around the $599 mark, though the variant with LTE connectivity and higher storage can be priced higher.
As for the Galaxy S8, Samsung is expected to announce the handset at a dedicated event that will be held on March 29.
