Galaxy S6 Edge

Just like the regular Galaxy S6, the new Galaxy S6 Edge comes in three storage options — 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. But buyers in the U.K. may get to choose between just two, because Samsung seems to have dropped the entry-level 32GB model for this market.

SamMobile notes that only the 64GB and 128GB S6 Edge variants appear on Samsung’s U.K. website, while all three models of the regular Galaxy S6 are displayed.

While it’s certainly a possibility that this is a simple mistake, it seems strange that this is the only variant that’s missing; all other options in each color are displayed, except the 32GB handset.

If Samsung has decided not to launch the 32GB S6 Edge in the U.K., it will make the price different between the 64GB model and the entry-level Galaxy S6 even greater.

According to a recent report detailing the pricing of these two devices for Europe, the 32GB Galaxy S6 will cost €699, which is around £509 in the U.K. As for the 64GB S6 Edge, that’ll  €949, which is around £691.

That’s a huge difference between the two, and it could persuade those who were thinking about getting an S6 Edge to opt for the regular Galaxy S6 instead. Of course, this could be exactly what Samsung is hoping for if it is struggling to make the S6 Edge as quickly as the Galaxy S6, but that seems unlikely.

Would the lack of a 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge in the U.K. put you off Samsung’s curvy new smartphone?
