Samsung has just unveiled its new range of Smart Home devices featuring deep integration with appliances such as ACs, TVs, Refrigerators, Washing Machines etc. Using this service, users will be able to control them and set various functions remotely using their mobile device, even when they’re not within proximity.

This service will be launched in South Korea and the U.S. first with other markets to follow soon hopefully. The feature revolves around the Smart Home application which is available for Samsung devices including the Tizen-powered Gear 2 smartwatch and a range of Galaxy smartphones as well as tablets. It is said that a dedicated application will be made available for 2014 Smart TV models as well. The company also plans to add its Smart Bulbs and Smart Ovens to the lineup in the coming days.

Customers will need to register with Smart Home Service using their Samsung account to enjoy benefits of this new offering. As you would expect, only a handful of hardware are compatible with this service as of now. Every 2014 Smart TV and all Samsung Android devices running Android 4.0+ are said to be compatible. The company is reportedly looking to bring support for the Gear Fit smartwatch as well in the coming months.
