Samsung Gear Live

One of the best indications that a new product is around the corner, is the removal of an older device in the same family line.

It’s possible that’s what’s happening here, as it has been discovered that Samsung (or Google) has removed the Gear Live, the latest Samsung-branded smartwatch, from the Google Store. The Gear Live was a paramount device for Samsung in many ways, but for many fans of Android Wear it was the company’s abandonment of its own Tizen-based operating system for Google’s option that convinced some to buy it.

As it stands right now, Samsung is already teasing a brand new smartwatch which it calls “the New Gear,” and features a round face and a rotating bezel. Whether that device will actually be running Android Wear, though, still remains to be seen.
