Last week, a couple of Google representatives revealed that Android Wear users should expect an OTA update for their watch that will bring some navigation and alarm improvements.

Now, it looks like the company has started pushing out the Android 4.4W.1 update carrying the build number KGW42N to the Gear Live and the Moto 360.

The biggest change the update brings is to navigation. If you have the latest version of Google Maps installed on your phone, your Android Wear watch will now show your primary and/or fastest as well as an alternate destination. It is now also possible to select your preferred navigation method like driving, walking or cycling before you start with the actual navigation itself as well.

The update also introduces the ability to set recurring alarms, which was surprisingly missing until now. There is no official change-log for the update and these are the only changes that have been reported by Android Police. However, if you do end up finding something improved or enhanced in this update, do drop in a comment and let us know.

Google will also be rolling out two new updates for Android Wear before the end of this year, which will bring support for GPS, offline music playback and an API for custom watchfaces.
