Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 lineup was originally announced in April of 2014, but it’s taken a bit of time for carriers to get their subscribers the new tablet. While Verizon was the first to bring the 8.0-inch tablet to the masses, T-Mobile is following up with an announced launch date.
It’s not just a launch date, though, as the Magenta wireless carrier has announced that anyone who is really interested in the tablet can now pre-order the device if they so choose. As far as a release date goes, you’ll be able to order it online beginning July 16 (and it should ship to you around that time if you do pre-order it). If you want to wait to check it out in stores, you’ll be holding off until July 23.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800. There’s a 1.2GHz quad-core processor under the hood, along with 16GB of built-in storage and 1.5GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box.
The tablet will cost you $384, and you’ll be able to add it to your Simple Choice plan to get access to 1GB of free data every month. The monthly payments will run you $16 for 24 months.
