Rumors had suggested Samsung would be getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack from its upcoming flagship smartphone.
Now, a new report suggests that Samsung won’t be going that route after all. Android Police says they spoke with a source recently, who they say is reliable, and according to them the Galaxy S8, which is set to be debuted in early 2017, will indeed feature the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Nothing is official just yet, of course, and while it’s perfectly possible the source is accurate right now, Samsung could go either way right now. Apple, HTC, and Motorola are the biggest names in the smartphone market to have removed the port already, while Google kept it around for the Pixel and Pixel XL.
Do you think Samsung will ditch the port?
