Samsung has already confirmed that it will be announcing its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, on March 29.
With a lot of expectation riding on that launch, and the longevity of the Galaxy S8 on the market, the rumor mill is building up anticipation by releasing a flurry of new photos of the device. Yesterday saw the release of a clear press render for the upcoming Galaxy S8, and now BGR has several hands-on photos of the Galaxy S8 out in the wild.
The images are accompanied by a variety of confirmations regarding the flagship’s specifications. The Galaxy S8 will boast 4GB of RAM, for instance, and 64GB of built-in storage. There’s a 12-megapixel camera on the back, and an 8MP front-facing shooter on the other side. There’s an iris scanner above the large, curved Super AMOLED display, and a fingerprint reader next to the rear camera.
The photos and report also confirm that the Galaxy S8 will boast a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a dedicated hardware button that will allegedly launch the digital personal assistant Bixby, a major new feature for the Galaxy S8 and Samsung as a whole.
The photos are clear enough for the most part, and show off a pretty distinct looking device.
Are you planning on buying the Galaxy S8 this year?
