With all major device launches from Samsung done for this year, enthusiasts and analysts are eagerly looking forward to early next year when Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy S7. While the handset is still more than a couple of months away from its official unveiling, rumors about it have been making their way to the world wide web of internet almost every other week.
This week rumors relating to the Galaxy S7 point to Samsung unveiling two different variants of the handset: a normal Galaxy S7 with a flat 5.2-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen; and a Galaxy S7 edge with a curved 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, though this time the screen is curved at the top and bottom. The rumor also points to the handset coming with a microSD card slot. Samsung has been subjected to heavy criticism this year from power Android users for ditching the microSD card slot on its Galaxy S and Note series of devices in favor of a beautiful unibody design. It looks like all that criticism has worked as Samsung now plans to re-introduce the microSD card slot with the Galaxy S7 next year.
Previous rumors relating to the Galaxy S7 point to the handset coming with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, with certain variants being powered by the company’s own custom-designed Exynos 8890 chip.
